EARTHWORK was established in Carbondale, Illinois in 1977. Proprietor Mark N. Riffel founded his business on a standard of exceptional quality that defined EARTHWORK and continues today.

Riffel’s love of nature and appreciation of architecture contribute to his passion in landscape design that produces unique and sometimes extraordinary concepts. His on-going investment in EARTHWORK’s specialized fleet of trucks, trailers and landscape construction tools and equipment, and his training and retention of long-term, experienced craftsmen and plantsmen give his company longevity and a unique blend of talent and resources.
